Bubble Spinner
More games to play
Bubble Spinner is a free browser game that puts a spin (literally) on the classic bubble shooter. Instead of a static wall of bubbles, you are firing at a cluster attached to a central pivot that rotates every time a bubble hits it. That single twist turns a familiar format into a genuine puzzle. Play it free here, no download, and no install needed. It runs in the browser, so it works at school or work wherever browser games are allowed.
What is Bubble Spinner?
Bubble Spinner is an arcade bubble-matching game made by DeadWhale, first released as a Flash game in November 2008 and later rebuilt in HTML5. The core loop is match-3: fire colored bubbles at the central cluster and pop any group of three or more of the same color. The catch is that the cluster rotates on its pivot each time a bubble lands, so your next shot arrives at a different angle than you planned. Difficulty increases as the cluster grows and the gaps between colors tighten.
Aiming and shooting controls
All control happens with the mouse. Line up your shot with the cursor and click to fire.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Aim | Move the mouse cursor |
| Fire bubble | Left mouse button |
| Bank shot off wall | Aim at side wall, use the angle indicator |
Spinner rotation and wall bounces
Two mechanics define every decision in Bubble Spinner: the rotation effect and wall bouncing.
| Mechanic | How it works | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Cluster rotation | Each bubble that sticks to the cluster shifts it slightly around the pivot | Changes the target angle for your next shot |
| Wall bounce | Aim at either side wall to arc a bubble around the cluster | Reaches color groups that are hidden from a direct shot |
| Color preview | The next bubble color is shown before you fire | Plan two shots ahead when possible |
Scoring and progression
Each pop scores points based on how many bubbles are cleared at once. Popping a group that causes a chain (floating bubbles fall off) multiplies your score. There is no fixed level count: the game runs as a single session with increasing density and a high score to beat. Once the cluster grows large enough to touch the outer boundary, the game ends.
Tips for clearing the cluster
- Aim for the edges of the cluster first. Popping edge groups causes more chain drops than hitting the center.
- Use the wall on nearly every shot where a direct angle is awkward. The side walls give you access to the back of the cluster.
- Watch the rotation after each shot before you fire again. A single missed bubble can turn a clear setup into a blocked one.
- Match the next-bubble color to a group that is already large. A three-bubble pop is worth less than a six-bubble chain.
- Keep the cluster small in the early rounds. Taking easy pops to thin the outside prevents a crowded mess later.
