Arkadium's Bubble Shooter
More games to play
Arkadium's Bubble Shooter is a free browser game that puts a fresh spin on the classic Puzzle Bobble formula. Instead of a ticking clock, the only thing standing between you and the next level is a finite move count. It plays right in your browser with no download needed, so it works fine at school or work wherever browser games are allowed.
What is Arkadium's Bubble Shooter?
It is a single-player arcade puzzle game by developer Arkadium, built around the match-3 bubble mechanic familiar from Puzzle Bobble and Bust a Move. You aim and fire colored bubbles upward at a cluster, and groups of three or more matching bubbles pop and fall away. The real pressure is not time but move economy: every shot counts, and wasting moves costs you dearly. Finish a level with shots to spare and those carry forward; use every last one and you restart from level 1.
Aiming and firing
Controls are mouse-only. Move your cursor to set the angle of the shot, then click to fire. The next bubble in the queue is visible before you shoot, so you can plan one step ahead.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Aim | Move mouse left or right |
| Fire bubble | Left click |
| Preview next bubble | Check the queue indicator on screen |
| Swap to queued bubble | Click the swap icon (where available) |
Special bubbles and power-ups
Three special bubble types and three power-ups change how you approach each level. Knowing what each one does before you fire saves moves.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Stone bubble | Cannot be popped directly. Clear it by removing the bubbles holding it in place so it drops. |
| Ice bubble | Color is hidden under ice. Must be hit once to thaw, then matched normally. |
| Lightning bubble | Clears every bubble in its entire row on impact. |
| Bomb bubble | Explodes and pops all bubbles in a circular area around the point of impact. |
| Rainbow bubble | Acts as a wild card and matches any color it touches. |
How the move limit works
Each level gives you a set number of shots. Clear all the bubbles before the count hits zero and any leftover moves carry into the next level, building a small buffer. Drain the counter completely without clearing the board and the game sends you back to level 1. This single mechanic makes every shot feel meaningful even on easy early boards, and it is what separates this version from timed bubble shooters.
Tips for stretching your move count
- Aim for chain reactions. Popping one cluster often drops others below it, clearing multiple groups with one shot.
- Save rainbow bubbles for situations where you have one mismatched bubble blocking a large cluster.
- Shoot stone bubbles last. Focus on the colored bubbles anchoring them; the stones fall on their own.
- Use the wall. Angled bank shots can reach bubbles tucked in corners that a straight shot cannot.
- Plan two moves ahead, not one. The queue shows the next bubble, so factor both into your aim.
